Hi, I’m Kenny Spy - the Founder and Co-Head Coach of Spy Fitness.

First responders mean everything to me. Why? They’re family.

Growing up as the son of Chief David Spy, a veteran of 41 years with the Glen Cove Fire Department of New York, and with my mom's side of the family all in service, I practically lived at the fire station. I remember donning oversized turnout gear and mimicking Dad's every move from a young age. His dedication inspired me, instilling a deep respect for those who tread the same path. Eager to follow suit, I could not wait to join the junior fire department, where I attended fire school and even competed in drill tournaments.

As I progressed into college, I pursued studies in Athletic Training, akin to being the first responders of the athletics community, and furthered my education with a Masters degree in Exercise Science. Now, my journey has brought me to the crossroads of these two realms, where I advocate the importance of fitness within the First Responder community.

What resonated most with me in the first responder community was our bond, transcending mere colleagues; we were a unified family. This camaraderie fostered a profound understanding of the job's stresses and demands. Consequently, I am deeply committed to giving back, particularly by emphasizing the importance of maintaining fitness to confront the challenges of the profession.

For me, this isn't just a career; it's a calling. Motivated by my family's heritage and the close-knit ties among first responders, I am steadfast in my resolve to serve with honor, fortitude, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring everyone's safety.

  • It's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any fitness program, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions or injuries. They can provide guidance on safe exercises and modifications.

  • The equipment required depends on the specific program. Some programs may utilize gym equipment, while others focus on bodyweight exercises or minimal equipment. It's essential to choose a program that aligns with the equipment you have access to.

  • You will have access to the training app Everfit which has tracking capabilities. Track, monitor, and analyze any kind of metrics, such as body fat %, weight, or waist measurements. Quickly view your training progress with exercise and workout history.

  • You will receive an email to download the Everfit App to access your programming. Otherwise, contact us.

  • Our program has in-app communication capabilities where a seasoned coach will respond to any questions you may have. (This feature is available for Tier 3)

  • If you're not seeing results, consider adjusting your program, increasing intensity, modifying your nutrition, ensuring proper rest, or request a consultation with one of our coaches.
